The Kuwait Board of Dermatology is following a complete curricular transfer since the academic year of 2022-2023. This transfer creates a shift of focus towards the competence-by-design protocol followed by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

The CanMEDS competency framework is now followed in the Kuwait Board of Dermatology Residency Program. This framework explains the seven roles and competencies of a physician, and it is followed by more than 12 Canadian medical institutes.
